This is a ProTek RC 48P Lightweight Hard Anodized Aluminum Pinion Gear. Designed for Drag Racing classes, these pinions feature a 5mm bore allowing them to be mounted to the larger diameter motor shafts found on 4-Pole drag racing motors. Made from machined aluminum, these pinions lead to less rotating mass and quicker motor spool-up times.
