The ultimate muscle car, the Chevelle 454 continues its reign in the 1971 body – only slightly changed from its predecessor the year before. The 454 meant this Chevelle too, was in one word, barbaric. Known as the Big Dog on the streets, in its heyday the Chevelle 454 laid waste to lesser muscle cars. And even now, 50 years later, folks are still ranking it top of the list.
